Taking Action

There are many ways to get involved and to take action in our community.  Sustainable Hanover has been experimenting with a "Take 3" strategy - Pick 3 actions to do in a given season and see where you are at the end of a year.  It is much easier to take action incrementally than to make any single dramatic change at one time.

We propose that you think about your involvement from the context of personal, professional and community adaptations you and your colleagues, family or friends might make over the course of a year.  After reading some of the suggested actions you could take, explore what others are doing in these various categories and come up with your own "Take 3" challenge.

Individual Actions (Some suggestions to get started)

  • Get involved: Review the Resources page of this site to connect with the topic areas of greatest interest to you.
