This page is under development.
If you would like to share what your organization is doing,
please let us know about your faith community's actions to confront the dual challenges
of peak oil and climate change.
Resources
New Hampshire Interfaith Power and Light: We are beginning this project in New Hampshire to join a nationwide network of 29 state Interfaith Power and Light groups affiliated with The Regeneration Project. New
Hampshire Interfaith Power and Light is a statewide organization
mobilizing religious communities and individuals of all faiths to take
action against global warming. We will provide education, practical
assistance, and purchasing pools to promote energy efficiency, resource
conservation, renewable energy, and the reduction of waste and
environmental degradation.
We speak in a unique voice as people of faith conscious of our obligations as stewards of Creation. We reach out to the general public and to the many participants in religious communities not otherwise engaged by the environmental movement.
VERMONT INTERFAITH POWER AND LIGHT seeks to educate faith communities and individuals about the threat that global warming presents to Creation and Earth, and to engage communities of faith in promoting energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy as a solution. The goal of the organization is to move Vermont's faith communities toward sustainable energy use and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, while living out our covenant with the Creator.
